Went in for an elective dental procedure when I was 17, was told that I also had a cavity and Dr.LaClair offered to fix it during my visit. I told him I had never had a cavity so I would wait until I scheduled an appointment with my usual dentist to go through my options. My usual dentist did not find any sign of cavities, and to this day I have never had a cavity and have seen around 4 other dentists as I have moved to new areas and no other dentist has mentioned any signs of cavities.
Not all experiences are bad, I'm sure...but beware of the costs associated with Dr.LaClairs office and make sure to have them disclose the amounts. I will never return to this facility again...seems like the main priority is to receive money rather than have the patients best interest in mind.
Fast forward years later and I decide to get invisalign treatment. Paid out of pocket $5000. was told my last aligner was my "retainer"...over a year later I request to have a new retainer made because my "aligners" still have impressions where the buttons from the invisalign were. Was told there would be a slight cost associated, never disclosed an amount. I receive a bill in the mail for $577 dollars. I was charged $240 for each the top and bottom retainer. When I called to ask about the high price and why it was not disclosed, I was told by Julie that if I don't want the retainers "that's fine, we'll throw them away and you don't need to pay the bill". Interesting idea of customer service. I have heard numerous stories from other past patients who refuse to go back based on their experiences as well....
Prefacing with that not all the dentists are inadequate, however my experience there was less than pleasant.
